Dr. Unger attended Tulane University for his undergraduate work, where he majored in philosophy and pre-medical studies. He graduated summa cum laude as the top-ranked “Senior Scholar” in the philosophy department and an inductee into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He was appointed as one of nine valedictorian candidates at Tulane. Dr. Unger then attended the New York University School of Medicine with an academic scholarship. He began his passion for plastic surgery and research in earnest there.
